This morning the first thing Kai said to me and Amara was, "Did the Easter Bunny come?" I was feeling groggy and hadn't had my coffee, so I just said "hmmm, I don't know." Next thing I saw him and Amara looking out the window and there was a piece of Trash in the weeds down by the creek. He was telling Amara he thought it was an Easter egg. I had to think fast. I felt like a horrible mom. Then I told myself, no I tell them the true meaning of Easter, so I shouldn't feel bad, but I still did. I woke up Rob and told him what was going on. We decided to refill the eggs Grandma and Grandpa gave them (thank you Denny and Linda!) and hide them outside when the the kids weren't looking. The kids were so sweet. Not mad, just a little disappointed. So, after church Rob and I said "Maybe the Easter Bunny came." The kids were so excited when they saw the eggs. I said we should remember to thank God for everything he has given us!
